Even before I read your post, I commented to Steve, "Why have we not done a trip like this ourselves? It's much better than going to Panama!" So here we are, planning our own Amtrak vacation. We will wait for your comments to project some reality into our new plan.
Let me guess, ...Red Line first, flight from Florida back to Chicago, Green Line, Yellow Line, flight from San Fran to L.A., Blue Line back to Seattle???
